So this is one young lady who we could all learn from. I so admire her and today realised how much and how much I love her.

Too often we are followers, especially when we are young.

Today I went to see a friend and her family. They have two children,or rather young adults now. They had been to see Hairspray the night before and Abz, the daughter had decided that she was going to do her hair a la Tracey. Her mum showed me a picture and she looked fab. It got us talking about how Abz is very much her own person. It would be so easy for her to follow the crowd and comply with peer pressure. Instead she follows the beat of her own drum. She may not be the skinniest in her group of friends but by god did she look gorgeous in her prom dress!!!! You may call her dress sense wacky but it works for Abz. In fact come to think of it… she is like a younger version of Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds!!!!

Yes Abz can be stroppy and moody but she also has a heart of gold. She is funny and bright, knows what she likes and is not afraid to go for things even if others may not see the point.
